Nancy, we send you and the family our sincere condolences. David found it a pleasure to work with Amun’s for a great number of years. Amun’s made the job tolerable and he will be missed.
I always enjoyed being in his company and have fond memories of him lifting a very young Marni up to the ceiling, and, of course I will never forget his support during David’s illness.

When we first met Amund we were struck by his charm, humility, knowledge, courtesy, courtly manners and compassion. He and Nancy became our social friends and we enjoyed their company, on many occasions. When we heard of his illness we were very sympathetic and prayed that he would not suffer, unduly, and could keep his dignity, to the end.

May he now rest in peace and have perpetual light shine upon him.

Amund and Nancy were one of the first couples I met fifty years ago when I came over to Canada. They made my family and I welcome even sharing their Christmas celebrations with us. Amund was a gentle person, someone you could rely on at all times.
A light has gone out with his passing. My prayers and love are with Nancy at this time.
    David.

    Dear Nancy

It came as a real shock to Eleanor and I to learn of the passing of Amund. We express our sincere sympathy to you Nancy and your loved ones.

I will always remember the first time Amund came to the City. I met a person who left me with the immediate and lasting impression of being very capable, sincere and an openness to relate well with others. It was soon confirmed that Amund had a talent in municipal engineering which was proven to be of great benefit to those he worked with and the City in general.

You will pass through difficult days Nancy but be assured that you and Amund will be together again.
