It is with great sadness to hear about the passing of such a dear old friend. Having shared a good portion of our youth together I will always cherish the memories we made throughout high school and beyond. John was always a good friend and will stay in my heart forever. Rest In Peace

John was an old friend that always dropped by to say hello, share a laugh and reminisce. I'll miss seeing and chatting with such a great down to earth friend. May God bless him.

John will be missed by many. It was like having a second brother when I was growing up. John and Barry were thick as thieves. I have many memories of John at my parents home and camping with us, they were great times. God bless and rest in peace.

I corresponded with JR by email throughout his visits for chemo & radiation. He even sent me a video of him "banging the gong" after his last visit. I was waiting for him to respond to my last email when I received a call from a mutual friend telling me about his passing. So sad! JR will be missed by many friends he has accumulated over the years. As his memorial is "private", please let Chris & Derek (and Gary) know that we (his friends at the Staggs Head) will be keeping him in our hearts and our sympathy goes out to his entire family!
