CRAWFORD (NEE GOODMAN), Judy

Mom of the Neighbourhood

Peacefully, where she wanted to be, at home with her son by her side, on Tuesday May 5th, 2020 at the age of 81. Wonderful wife of the late Rusty Crawford for 42 years. Adoring, caring, devoted mom of Jeff, kind, loving step-mom of Sandy. Remembered as an incredible Grama to Crystal Bisschops (Justin) and Shane Brolly (Bree). A devoted Gramsbear to Dez, Dutch and Dahlia. Bonus mom to Danny (Milka) and Jonathan. Judy took motherhood to a whole new level by creating a beautiful life for everyone she touched. Words cannot describe what impact she had on the ones she loved. She will be sorely missed by her beloved grand-dog Abbie. Judy was a member of Sweet Charity singing group for over 40 years. She enjoyed life at the cottage, visiting Bowmanville and also loved figure skating, roller skating, sewing, tap dancing, snowmobiling, teaching special needs children to swim, bicycling, knitting, paper toll, knitting hats for preemies born at the hospital, colouring, lunches with all of her wonderful friends, hosting parties, doing occasional burn outs in her favourite SS Camaro, driving fast, Disney World, and all of her Plum Point family.  Arrangements entrusted to McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558).  Donations in memory of Judy to the Humane Society of Durham Region would be appreciated.  Please express your condolences by reaching out to the family or at makfuneralhome.com.

Jeff, Sandy, Crystal, Shane and families, please accept our deepest condolences on the passing of Aunt Judy. We remember many shared times with her and Uncle Rusty and will cherish them always. In recent years we often saw her at the concerts in the park in Bowmanville. I was so happy to be able to share in in her drive by birthday celebration on April 24th, that you made so special for her in these times of covid-19. May your cherished memories sustain you in the coming days and know she will never be forgotten by all those who loved her. Love Penny and Bill Austin

Jeff, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mom, she was a lovely lady, someone who I really admired! Like I have said to you before, Judy was elegant, lovely, and had such great style. I am sure that she ran into your dad's arms when she reached heaven's gates. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all, at this very difficult time.

Jeff and Sandy .. we were greatly saddened to learn of Judy's passing. She was a great lady with tons of energy and enthusiasm. She had many great friends and brought any event to life. We all need people like this this and we miss them when they're not with us any longer. We send our deepest sympathy to you and all of the other family members as you deal with moving forward without Judy's earthly presence. The heavenly angel choir has likely stepped up its repertoire with Judy's arrival. We will think of her and miss her at the Bowmanville Concerts in the Park. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I knew Judy as we both grew up in Bowmanville. We both attended Central Public School and Bowmanville High School. I always admired her and thought of her as a childhood friend. I saw her sing with her group Sweet Charity many times. My sincere sympathy goes out to her family at this sad time.
