I met Ronnie in the late 1970's at Dominos in Toronto, but like with many of our friends from that time, did not see each other for decades. Jimmy and I saw Ronnie a few times about 8 years ago at his parents house, and I spoke to him on the phone a few weeks ago. I am shocked. We never expect people to not be around again. We always think they are out there and will always be there. I really wish we met up again.

Ronnie was an incredibly talented musician. A prodigy on the piano and could play every instrument. And above all, he was a such a nice guy. Not a nasty bone in his body. He was flamboyant and bubbly and always fun to hang out with. So sorry for his family and friends. Jimmy and I send our deepest condolences to his parents and loved ones. RIP Ronnie. You will never be forgotten.

I'd like to do a memorial page on Facebook - if anyone is interested in providing photos and thoughts please send tohttps://www.facebook.com/alice.andersen.98

Ronnie was a dear friend of my wife Darlene, daughter Taryn and mine. We are going to miss his smiling inquiring face. Darlene wil especially miss him since she used to take great pleasure in "discovering" books on history, philosophy and politics to satiate his mine.
He was a talented person and will be missed by those who revelled in listening to his piano renditions.
Ron affected many people in his short but very full life and the world was a far better place with him in it!
Rest In Peace my friend---you earned it!

Dear Uncle John and Aunt Lisa - I am so saddened by the news. I am grateful for having stopped in last winter in Oshawa for an impromptu visit at the salon. I was welcomed with open arms during a busy salon day and we had a chance to catch up for a quick visit at the house. Ron was a kind and gentle soul and I enjoyed talking with him about his interest in natural health and travels. Much love to you both.

He was truly a very kind and caring person. Dear John and Lisa,
I was shocked and saddened to read of Ron’s passing in Thursday’s Toronto Star. He was certainly a talented individual and one of a kind. I remember seeing his creative hair styles. Mom spoke of him often and had a real soft spot in her heart for him. He always made her laugh. Please accept my condolences.
Mom passed in Orillia, where I live, sleeping away peacefully, I hope, in her bed. She was just 4 months shy of her 100 Th birthday. I could not visit her because she was in a retirement residence and locked down. A very lonely way to die. She will be put to rest w my Dad and her parents in Mount Lawn
She loved you two and always spoke very affectionately about you. You kept her beautiful for many years and for that I thank you.
Thinking of u both and sharing your tears

I was in Calgary only to find out of this sad news about Ron…I have very fond memories including some experiences with Ron who was the most gracious and non-judgmental human being I have every met. To describe him as unique is only one description for his character and talent abound made him great fun and a true character. A Free spirit and love for life makes these days and events even more tragic. Most certainly gone to soon but I know he is in a better place… Rest In Peace Ron now go make some music with the angels.

Absolutely unimaginable hearing about the passing of Ron. After years of looking for someone who understood what I wanted in a hair cut, Ron did it better than I hoped and made me look years younger. A master at his craft of doing hair but also understanding the need of a mature female who was still competing in life to be their best. Thank you Ron, I will never forget your entertaining meetings at your artist's chair.
Every client should feel blessed to have sat in that magical chair. RIP you are a superior craftman. I will miss you.

    Dearest John, Lisa, and Kathy,

I am terribly shocked and deeply saddened to have learned of the recent passing of Ronnie whom I met over thirty years ago. What I remember best was Ronnie's genuine warmth, worldly charm, his quick-witted humor, flair for fashion and bigger than life personality. Through-out the years, we often ran into one another at social gatherings, music hotspots or sometimes at the local Toronto Film Festival, but I didn’t really get to know Ronnie until the late 1990’s and that was when I had the privilege of meeting his incredible family who were creative and talented in their own right. We lost touch after I relocated to NYC in 2001, but one day, while visiting friends in Toronto, I ran into Ronnie and we shared many stories and laughs. Ronnie’s incredible creativity, talent and artistic ability knew no bounds and in my mind, he was truly one of a kind – unique, open-hearted, inspiring and loving. A beautiful Soul who touched the hearts of many – a bright Light who left an indelible mark upon my heart and who will be sincerely missed. Please accept my condolences and know that Ronnie’s memory will live on forever in our hearts and minds.

I want to give my deepest condolences to Ronnie's family and friends. Ronnie was always full of energy, with broad smiles he would tell great stories. When he heard I was learning to play the guitar he didnt hesitate to share his tips and I listened intently because he was such a master musician. He was also very talented with hair and to this day the best style I ever had was with Ronnie's masterful hands.je will be missed but never forgotten. May the memories sustain his family through this difficult time.

    Dearest Lisa and John,
Needless to say we are heartbroken, but we have such great memories of Ronny. One of our fondest memory of him, is the time at our Christmas Party he hijacked the piano and produced one of the most unusual and innovative type of music. To say the least, at the end of the evening, our guest where very inquisitive who the musical genius was and that sums up Ronny.

With all our Love Rose and Cory

I didn't know Ron or even meet him, but I was in your salon, once, years ago, for a haircut with John when Ron was present. John & Lisa, you both were so welcoming, so kind & loving toward me, a stranger. From what I observed, your interactions with Ron that day were often & always pleasant. From my short time with you all, I got the distinct impression that you were exceptionally loving parents and he an exceptionally loving son.

Please accept my sincere condolences;I am so very sorry for your loss.
