Condolences to Maureen and Andrew. Your mother was such a kind and gentle lady. My late husband Mike, my son Craig and I met Joan, Maureen and Cleo while walking our dog Jake. Joan always took the time to give Jake a pet, which Jake absolutely loved! We will always remember Joan as a kind soul.

Rick and I were saddened when we heard of the passing of Joan. We were so fortunate to be neighbours for 20 years. I loved her sense of humour. She certainly was a terrific person, leaving us muffins on our counter after we returned from a trip... very thoughtful, gentle and kind. Our deepest condolences to Maureen and Andrew.

We are very sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. We met her through the Friends of the Oshawa Library and enjoyed working and socializing with her. Marlene felt a special connection when they discovered they were both from Verdun. We hope your good memories will help get you through this sad time.
