It was my pleasure to have worked under Lloyd when I was employed at Safety Supply Canada as Manager of Computer Operations. Lloyd was a fair and honest gentleman, and everyone at Safety Supply had a deep respect for this kind gentleman. He was a nice man to work with and a nice man to talk to. My term at Safety Supply was unfortunately short, but it was a great company to work for, and was undoubtedly one of the best places I ever worked, and I’m sure that was in part to Lloyds role as Vice President. It was my reward to have known him.

Lloyd Hanna was one of the truly great men in my life. He led from his core philosophy which included much from Marcus Aurelius. He taught us to think about what we were doing and to act with audacity and compassion. He respected gut feelings and challenged us to exceed expectations. We both loved Stranger in a Strange Land and comprehended the concept of “grok”! Lloyd was always a thoughtful gentleman with a broad range of interests, from collecting straight razors to “witlings”. He mentored so many young managers at Safety Supply Canada and joined the “Eagles” at our annual Christmas luncheons over the past 30 years. Lloyd was an inspirational leader whose legacy lives in all who knew him well.
Heartfelt condolences to Beth and the entire family. I will miss Lloyd so much.

Lloyd was a mentor, leader and most importantly a friend. Many of us worked with Lloyd at Safety Supply and were blessed with the leadership and guidance he provided us over the years. I often use many of the guidelines and principals he taught us in business today and refer to his teachings when sharing these with others. I was also fortunate enough to travel with Lloyd on business to many locations in Europe and the United States and once again, he taught me about history and understand of the world beyond what any book could teach. He will undoubtedly be sadly missed by family and friends --- deepest sympathies and condolences to Beth and family. Thank you Lloyd for everything you did for me over the years, it will never be forgotten.

Lloyd worked with my dad when I was very young, but along with Beth, kept the connection going over decades. Lloyd was always the quintessence of kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity. He was dearly loved by my mom and our whole family, and will forever hold a very special place in our hearts. My heartfelt condolences to you Beth and the kids. Thank you for sharing such a truly lovely soul.

One of the joys of life is finding someone who is brave and confident enough to be themself and creative and bright enough to continue to learn and grow throughout their lifetime. Adding a sprinkle of theatre and performance, you have someone who is great company and fun to be around. We consider ourselves very lucky to have shared a small corner of Lloyd's life. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. We know Beth's gift of spreading kindness and calmness will help in this difficult time. We are thing of you all.

Longtime friend of Lloyds son Kevin:
I didn’t realize till I’d gotten older just how much of a good and decent man Mr Hanna was. He loved his wife Beth and he loved his children...and like any good father he was fair.
My prayer are with Mrs. Hanna, Stephen, Kevin and Alison.
Mr. Hanna, God has you in his keeping, others will always have you in their heart.
You were loved, and you are missed.

I knew Lloyd to be a man of depth. He was always surprising me with his knowledge and talent. As a recipient of some of his stories and poems I appreciated his interest in history and life. Both Bob and I enjoyed any social times spent with he and Beth. There was always something to learn as well good conversation and good food. Lloyd was not afraid to express a contrary opinion but could always do so with generosity and usually tact.
While our paths haven’t crossed much in recent years we both have many warm memories of Lloyd.

I just found out about your husband's passing and was so sorry to hear that. You were so fortunate to be together for 61 years. Ed and I started late and had 39 years together- 37 married. - Not long enough. You will certainly be lonely ,so rely on friends and your family. I've been through it and still struggle. You know to seek God's help when you need it. God bless.
