RIOUAL, Suzanne Ellenor

Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Monday, April 18, 2022.  Suzanne, in her 83rd year.  Loving wife of the late Francois Rioual.  Dear mother of Paul Rioual, Monique Rioual, Laura Rioual and the late Michel.  Loving Grandma of Mitchell, Lucas, Roxane, Drake, Jade and Mason.   Sister of Alice Laurin, Walter Morrison, Kathleen King, Marie Argue, Bodhi Saraswati and Michael Morrison.  Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.  Suzanne’s illness was short but fierce.  She was so strong to the end and was always surrounded by love and good thoughts from everyone.  We thank you all for this, as she truly was at peace because of it.  As you tend to your gardens this spring, think of her, for she loved springtime and working the good earth in her garden.  Relatives and friends may call at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of complete service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m.  A reception to follow at the funeral home.  Donations in memory of Suzanne to St. Vincent de Paul Society would be appreciated.

Paul, Monique, Laura and all the family my thoughts and love are with you all during this saddest of times. I want to share something that I read that I hope will bring you some comfort.
"I know for sure that we never lose the people we love, even in death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision that we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love."
Your family are proof of that enrichment and will continue to be, forever.
Love and light to you all. xx

I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to Suzanne’s family at this tragic and emotional time. I became acquainted with Suzanne a number of years ago while participating in the djembe drumming circle at Northview Community Centre. Susanne always exuded a gentle grace and peace along with a quiet presence that did transcend into the space. May your lifetime of treasured memories help to forever sustain you today, tomorrow and in the days yet to come. Suzanne’s earthly struggles have now ceased and her spirit has embraced an eternal peace.
Sending Virtual Hugs and Much LOVE,

I knew Suzanne from our drumming group at Northview. She was quiet and reserved but she was very charming. We had great conversations when I’d sometimes give her a ride. She will be missed. My sincere condolences to the family. Ingrid Thompson

Suzanne’s quiet presence will be missed at our Northview drum circle. Yesterday in drum class we held space for her with a chair and drum. We played AB Backrhythm in her honour. Rest In Peace Suzanne. My condolences to the family.
