GAUWEILER, Karl Leopold

Peacefully, at Glen Hill Strathaven, Bowmanville, on Wednesday, September 7th, 2022.  Karl, in his 97th year.  Beloved husband of Paula Elfriede for 73 years.  Loving father of Bruno (Darlene) of Caesarea, Esther (Mikko Vesa) of Newcastle, Angelika Burns (Barry Nutley) of Lindsay, Bill (Valerie) of Bath, and David (Kimberley) of Port Sydney.  Dearly remembered by all his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Brother of Klara Bergant of Pickering, the late Werner Gauweiler, the late Erwin Gauweiler, and the late Ruth MacArthur.  Predeceased by grandson Jason Gauweiler.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Friday, September 16th from 2 - 4 p.m.  Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, September 17th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Mount Lawn Cemetery.  Donations in memory of Karl to Ritson Road Alliance Church ( would be appreciated.

    Bruno and I wish to thank you all for your kind words and support. You all helped in a special way to help make our time of need and sorrow easier to bear. We were truly blessed to have had Dad for this many years. We know he is in a better place. Life is so beautiful but it can also be hard, especially during the loss of loved ones but our Friends and the people around us Family included make the difficult times much more easier.
