Audrey was a grand lady and I am grateful to have known her. I worked at the church bazaar with her and had a lot of fun. For her 90th birthday she told me she wanted a party so we had a cocktail party at the Tartan Tavern. Until Covid we celebrated the anniversary of her 90th with lunch at the Tartan Tavern.

I was an admirer of Audrey for 50 yrs and she always made me smile.
We worked together at the church and had many adventures and misadventures.
she had a wicked sense of humour.
On the serious side Audrey was a very elegant lady and took life in her stride. Even with all her health issues she remained very positive.
    I will truly miss her.

Audrey was a woman I so admired. She was kind, considerate and generous. I enjoyed our times together. She had a wonderful sense of humour, and enjoyed her friends immensely. She was a long time strong supporter of St Matthews, where she was loved and valued.she was always the fashionista. Impeccably groomed and ready for an outing.
Rest In Peace my dear Friend.💕Marlene Owen

Audrey was a very dear friend of my mother, Melva Dalton. After her death Audrey and I shared memories and developed a closer relationship that included my husband, Tom, and daughter, Anne. Audrey became Anne's D.G., Designated Grandma. I cherish our conversations which were always filled with warmth and humour. We will miss her very much.

I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. She was such a nice lady. I have memories of her teaching in the Sunday school at St. Matthew's. It used to make me smile with your mom getting together with my mom, Audrey Thursby and especially when they took the bus up to the theater in Toronto. I have a cute picture of both of them on santa's knee and one card your mom sent to my mom. It says to Aud from Aud. Lovely memories. May God comfort you during this time.

I'm so sorry to hear of your mom's passing, Susan Spence. She was such a kind and loving person. I remember she always treated me like one of her own, with all the sleep overs and meals she made for us. Sending blessings and prayers.

Audrey was a delight to know whether at a Bible Study she led, the various meetings, the homemade syrup she made for us for our annual pancake suppers or celebrating her birthday. One year during COVID as we were celebrating her birthday on her front lawn, 2 police officers were driving by and stopped to ask what we were doing - they too joined in the fun for a bit. Audrey loved the colour purple. She was a gentle soul. RIP, you've earned your angel wings.
